Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL)-CDC Fellowship and Internship Programs - APHL is recruiting prospective fellows and host laboratories for expanded 2022 fellowship programs! Program currently accepting applications (through October 2021) for January 2022 start dates include: bioinformatics, environmental health, infectious diseases, and newborn screening. These and other programs will begin accepting applications in November 2021 (through February 2022) for July 2022 start dates. Please share this information with your network, including potential fellows. If your laboratory is interested in hosting one or more fellows, apply today!

Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research (SIP)

The SIP provides interns with a summer of intensive research in an NHLBI laboratory on NIH’s main campus in Bethesda, MD. Interns receive a competitive stipend based on their education level.

 

Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service

This highly competitive program is available to full-time students about to begin their final year of academic study or professional training. Those selected for the program will become Commissioned officers in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) and receive full pay and benefits of an active duty officer for up to 12 months just for finishing their education and training.
