Student Association

The Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program Student Association (BLDSA) at MSU is a student run organization that provides its members with the opportunity to become involved in their curriculum and profession.

All students interested in pursuing careers in the biomedical laboratory sciences are invited to join. Your membership gives you the opportunity to participate in variety of professional and social activities. These activities include volunteer opportunities, facility tours and social activities. The goal of these activities is to provide our members with sufficient background to make career decisions by exploring the diversity of options available in this field of study.

Hi, I’m Ella! I will be the BLDSA president for the 2026-2027 school year. I’m going to be a senior pursuing MLS and a Masters in Pathology Assistance. My favorite classes so far have been BLD 213L and MGI 365L. I’m very excited for this year and all the fun activities we have planned. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Hi everyone! I'm Sean, and I'm the Vice President of the 2026-27 E-board. I am currently a senior pursuing a degree in Medical Laboratory Science! My favorite classes so far have been: BLD 204, BLD 365, and BLD 314L! I'm really looking forward to being VP.  Please don't hesitate to say hi or ask me any questions if you see me around campus. Hello! My name is Leah, and I will be serving as your treasurer on the 2026–27 E-board. I am pursuing a degree in Medical Laboratory Science and will be going into my senior year. What I love most about BLD is the opportunity to really get to know your professors and classmates, it feels like its own close-knit community. My favorite BLD classes I’ve taken so far are BLD 434 and BLD 213L. I’m really excited to see what this year has in store for the program!

Hey everyone! My name is Amor, and I’m excited to serve as your secretary for the 2026-2027 E-board. I’ll be a senior pursuing a major in Medical Laboratory Science. Some of my favorite classes so far have been BLD 204, BLD 434, and BLD 314L. I especially enjoy the hands-on lab work and getting to identify specimens under the microscope. I’m really looking forward to contributing to the E-board and can't wait to create great memories together!

Hello everyone! My name is Noemi, and I’ll be one of your event coordinators for the 2026-27 E-Board. I am a junior pursuing MLS with plans to continue in pathology. My favorite BLD classes so far are 213L and 204. The BLD program has such interesting courses (I recommend checking it out!)  and is full of the most supportive students and faculty. Hi! I’m Ebise, a member at large for the 2026-27 school year. I am currently applying for the MLS program for my senior year, with the intention of pursing an Ph.D. in Computational Biology. I absolutely love the BLD program, especially with how passionate our professors and instructors are about medical laboratory science. My favorite classes so far have been BLD 204, 324, and 434! Hi! My name is Ella Miller, and I am one of the members-at-large for the 2026/27 BLDSA E-Board. I am a senior on the MLS path. Some fun facts about me are that I ran a half marathon last school year, I have a twenty-year-old cat named Miss Pickles, and I am from Ohio! My favorite class so far has been BLD324: Hematology and Homeostasis. I am excited to bring new ideas and plan some fun events. I look forwards to getting to know other BLD members!

Hello, my name is Margo and I am serving as a member-at-large for the 2026-27 academic year. Currently, I am a sophomore in BLD and I am minoring in Japanese. My favorite BLD course so far has been 213L because we did many interesting labs. My favorite BLDSA event has been sundae study night! I am always down to chat anything BLD or BLDSA related so don't hesitate to say hi.
