A degree from the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Biomedical Laboratory Science (BLS) opens more career pathways than just the traditional orientation towards the diagnostic testing laboratory.

Federal, State, and Local health departments, commercial and research laboratories, medical scientific supplies sales areas, laboratory consulting services, laboratory administration/supervision, and education, and research at colleges and universities constitute only part of the professional opportunities available to medical laboratory scientists.

In addition, the undergraduate curricula provides an excellent biomedical background for students who choose to move into alternate health-related careers.

These degrees also establish a solid foundation for applying to medical schools.
