2020 Fall BLD Senior Awards
"The BLD Alumni Board Outstanding Senior Award is granted to a graduating senior who has shown initiative, dedication and promise during their educational career via achieving an exemplary grade point average, demonstrating excellent leadership abilities and technical skills, and showing dedication to the profession. The Stevens Award in Medical Technology, in honor of Bertram E. Stevens, is granted to the graduating MLS and BLS senior students with the highest GPA.
This year, we’re excited to announce that Leah Schebil (MLS) and Nakole Asia Turner (BLS) were selected to receive the BLD Alumni Board Outstanding Senior Award. Katelyn Rose Hadlich (MLS) and Mitch Daniel Engel (BLS) were selected to receive the Stevens Award. We congratulate these students on their awards and commend all 2020 BLD graduates for all they have achieved.
We encourage MSU BLD graduates to stay connected to the program by signing up for updates and notices at: BLD Subscribe. In addition, we hope graduates will join MSU Connect (msuconnect.msu.edu) and be on the lookout for a future MSU BLD-specific group.
Congratulations to all 2020 MSU BLD Graduates and Go Green!"

Each year the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program Alumni Board presents an award to a graduating senior who has shown initiative, dedication and promise during their educational career. Some of the criteria used to select the awardee includes grade point average, leadership abilities, technical skills, and dedication to the profession.
Each year the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program presents a monetary award to the graduating senior student with the highest grade point average (one for each of our majors). The award is called the Stevens Award in Medical Technology, in honor of Bertram E. Stevens, who donated the money to a trust fund for this purpose.
